Our first communion

Five children took their first Communion at the Mission Church inStreet on Easter Sunday.

Lorien Boyd, Jessica Hudson, Luke Woodward, Silas Parker-Bombosch and Angelus Collins all received certificates and giftsafter the ceremony.

Group leader Chris Parker-Bombosch said the children had studieda four-week course.

"We spent most of our time exploring the Communion process,understanding the significance of the bread and wine and preparingfor them for the important day," he said.

"The group sessions gave them a great opportunity to speak openlyabout what their faith means to them and I hope that they got a gooddeal of the course. I certainly …
