The alleged triggerman in the slaying of an elderly Colonie couple was found not guilty Thursday of the unrelated 1986 armed robbery of a shoe store clerk.
The Supreme Court
jury deliberated about 2 1/2 hours before finding Robert Charles Skinner, 34, not guilty of first-degree robbery in the March 31, 1986, holdup of an employee of Young Shoes at the Latham Circle Mall.
The incident happened near the Norstar Bank branch at the mall and the shotgun-wielding bandit got away with about $200 in cash and $400 in checks.
