NSW:NSW Police to get Crime Commission help

SYDNEY, Jan 16 AAP - Police will have access to the coercive powers and resources of
the powerful NSW Crime Commission in their investigation into a spate of Sydney drive-by
shootings.

NSW Police Minister Mike Gallacher on Monday announced the Commission had offered police
the use of their resources - which would be a "significant addition" to their investigative
powers.

There has been a spate of shootings since the start of the year, with eight in the past week.
