NSW: Driver says he didn t see phone tampered with: hearing

An inquiry into the Glenbrook train disaster has been told the co-driver of the Indian
Pacific did not see anybody tampering with a trackside phone after the accident.

But DAVID WILLOUGHBY also gave evidence that a number of people were milling around
the crash site and phone box after the accident.

Mr WILLOUGHBY was shown a photograph of the telephone box where he tried and failed
to make a call to signal controllers about a red light before the crash.
