Owner hopes busy location equals success: ; Mexican restaurant opens in former home of Smokey Bones, Billy's

The bustling area of Southridge Center has a new restaurant.

Las Trancas Mexican Cuisine now operates in the building thatformerly housed Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill and Billy's.

Owner Martin Arellano of Vienna opened the restaurant just twoweeks ago.

Arellano, 31, has already helped Las Trancas become a success inboth Clarksburg and Marietta, Ohio. He has been active in therestaurant industry since he came to America from Guadalajara,Mexico, 15 years ago.

"I started as a busboy and had a business in North Carolina," hesaid. "My first time coming here, I had friends working inrestaurants and thought it was a good start."
